Questions To Ask During The Interview

Can you tell me something about the team this position is being recruited into:

By asking this question, you have the opportunity to follow up the interviewer’s answer with comments about your own work style.  Inform them that you’ve worked in similar environments and that it would be a very comfortable fit for you.

Where do you see this company in three years?

If you ask this question, make sure that you are prepared to respond if the interviewer asks for your response first.  If you researched the firm, this is an opportunity to impress the interviewer with your knowledge of where the company is headed.

Avoid questions about “what you get”.

Asking about vacation time or sick time demonstrates that you’re more interested in what you’re getting from the company rather than what you could do for the company.
